Scottish bazouki playing singer/songwriter Dave Robb was born in Edinburgh, but has had homes in many cities, and he is currently living and writing in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Playing bazouki, Dave was an original member of the folk band Rua, with whom he made an album 'Rua' (1986) and played as far afield as New Zealand and Australia. He later toured with the Proclaimers and supported Christy Moore, gaining a reputation as Scotland's bazouki-playing bard.

In 1989 he appeared on The Roke, an album by a group of Edinburgh musicians led by the then Waterboys member Colin Blakely.

In 1990 Dave appeared with his band The Filmmakers at the Reading festival. From 1998-93 Dave and the Filmmakers were regulars at the Edinburgh Summer Festival. Their debut album, 'Capture an Image', was released in 1991.

Dave spent most of the nineties living and performing in Berlin, returning to Scotland to promote Prussian Blue with appearances at Celtic Connections in Glasgow and on several Radio Scotland Shows together with Colin MacFarlane.

Since moving to Belfast in 1999, Dave has been carving out a growing presence on the Irish songwriters' scene. In December 2004 he showcased songs from his new album 'Star in the Morning' on Ardan, TG4's acclaimed tv music and chat show.

The new songs are lyrically and musically his strongest to date - explorations of the soul taking you on a journey through lost love, parenthood and new beginnings.
