Roscoe Vacant & The Gantin' Screichs Reckurdt THE debut album from the Cumnock, Ayrshire band is a strident effort of intent.

The four-piece, whose singer really does go by the name of Roscoe Vacant, grab your attention straight away with 'All in the Reel of the Summer'. As guitars duel and the drums pile drive a beat, Roscoe spits out lyrics much like Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil.

Second song 'Static Voices Trace The Dark' starts off with a slow chiming guitar before the onslaught begins again. There are some songs I'd have left off, but tunes like 'Misery Loves Company' prove there's something in the Ayrshire water.
